How much will a website cost?
As each website is unique, then it is not possible to provide a
standard cost for creating your webpage. The cost will depend upon each
indivuals requirements, i.e. how many pages are required; how much
content is required for each page; and whether more complex features
are required like feedback forms or the ability for customers to pay
for products through the website. A simple one-page personal website
will cost in the region of £100. A set of webpages for a small
business will cost between £200 and £500. At each stage I
would discuss the design of your website with you and explain about the
time it will take me to create and therefore the likely cost of
the completed suite of pages. A client who has thought about the
content of their pages and has selected the pictures they want to use
will make the design and creation of their webpage a lot easier,
quicker and therefore cheaper.
Are there any extra costs?
You will need to buy a domain name (e.g. www.clappsbaskets.co.uk). The
cost for this is in the region of £5 to £10 per annum. In
most cases you will also need to pay someone to host your website. This
can cost between £10 and £50 per annum depending on the
amount of space you require for your pages and the services offered. If
you need to collect credit card details through your website, you may
also need to pay fees to a provider to enable you to do this. Costs for
this vary between providers. I will help you buy a domain name and get
your pages hosted and discuss the most suitable package for hosting
your site.
